Some notable improvements to the G7 X Mark III's imaging capabilities are thanks to the new 1-inch stacked CMOS sensor and the DIGIC 8 processor, similar to the sensor in the Canon R100 series. This new sensor has an additional layer for data collection and a layer for processing, giving the camera more powerful image processing capabilities.
With the new DIGIC 8 processor, the G7 X Mark III's continuous shooting capability has been significantly improved from 8 frames per second to 20 frames per second. At the same time, the RAW buffer has also been upgraded to 70 images from 21 images, allowing users to shoot continuously without interruption.
